Under his leadership, Globant has become a key partner in implementing emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and blockchain.
Migoya led the company’s IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2014 and has overseen its global expansion through strategic acquisitions and the development of digital studios. He is known for promoting a decentralised organisational model and a strong focus on talent development and innovation.
He is also the co-author of two books: ‘The Never-Ending Digital Journey’, which outlines Globant’s framework for continuous digital reinvention, and ‘Embracing the Power of AI’, which explores how organisations can harness artificial intelligence to remain competitive and adaptable. Both works reflect his practical approach to technology’s role in business transformation.
Through Globant, he has played a central role in positioning Latin America as a competitive hub for high-end software services. He supports initiatives to strengthen the regional tech ecosystem and has received multiple international recognitions for his leadership in business and technology.
Origins:
Martín Migoya was born (on February 21, 1968) and raised in La Plata, Argentina. He completed his primary and secondary education at Colegio San Luis, graduating in 1985. In 1993, he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of La Plata (UNLP).
Subsequently, he pursued and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of CEMA (UCEMA) in Buenos Aires in 1999.. His early exposure to business came from a parent who was an entrepreneur.
Before co-founding Globant in 2003, Migoya held various positions in the technology sector, including a project manager position at Repsol-YPF, Argentina's largest oil and gas company. In 2001, Argentina entered a severe economic crisis, marked by political instability and a collapse in economic activity.
In the aftermath, Migoya and three friends — Guibert Englebienne, Néstor Nocetti, and Martín Umaran — decided to found a technology company based in Argentina. In 2003, they launched Globant with the goal of exporting software services globally. Today, the company operates in over 30 countries and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Migoya has lived and worked in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. His formative experiences — navigating crisis, grounding in engineering and business, and an early commitment to global thinking — laid the foundation for a career centered on innovation, resilience, and global impact.
